I actually did, and still do in a way. That's why I haven't said a word other than laughing at some posts that are just damn funny regardless of the situation.

No one but Casper knows what really happened. A bunch of us got desperate texts from him for several days, then we didn't hear from him for a while. (Wish I still had those texts - I broke that phone. :sad

Casper truly freaked me out during that period (summer of 2009)... we all knew about his plan to move to Vegas and live off of gambling. It's a ridiculous plan for 99.99% of the population, but there's certainly ways to make it work. That said, betting random horses and baseball totals on a whim then hitting the roulette table when your sports bets don't pan out - it's not one of those ways.

Casper is/was a huge pathological gambler. He will also deny it to the death and call me a pathological gambler too, cause I was in Vegas with him, you see.

I don't know what the real story is with Casper as he hasn't been back here to tell it. But from what I hear, he didn't tell the truth about taking the train because he was embarrassed to tell people he was taking the bus. Apparently when he got off at one of the stops to get food or something to drink (or whatever the story was), he left his bag and the bus took off without him. But he was able to get his clothes and ID back but someone stole his laptop. And then the first night he was in Vegas, he blew all of his money drinking and gambling and couldn't even get a cab ride back to his hotel.

Casper, is this true? If not, put the rumors to rest!
