There are 4-6 too many teams in the NHL Blitty. Because of this, the talent pool is watered down big time. You have AHL calibre players playing on 3rd and 4th lines and making $1 million per season. That's fucking insane.

I guess. I figure theres such a fine line between being an nhl or ahl player anyways though, excluding the superstars of course....

You know I don't love rumors, haha, but my educated guess on Lombardi and what he's up to...

- The Kings will NOT trade Bernier or Quick like many are rumoring.

- Lombardi and the Flyers are definitely talking, and they've got history making trades... look for a trade between these two teams

- Kings are in GREAT shape with the cap... they may make a trade with a team like Chicago or Montreal that needs to clear some cap space for prospects...

It's hard to say where Kovalchuk will end up, but I home not a single team offers him more than a 5 year deal. These long term deals are what kill teams. BB said he wasn't getting in on the Kovalchuk "race", but I have a feeling that BB will offer him a 5 year, $6-$7 million deal to play in the hottest hockey market in the world. I read that Kovalchuk would like to play in Toronto, but he has to come down to earth money and term wise. He's not a Crosby or Ovechkin type of player.
