Funny, didn't see it.

Again, maybe this guy just wanted a tuna sandwich from the restaurant at the golf club. He just took a really roundabout way to get it with the 12 hours waiting in the shrubs and GoPro camera. Perhaps the camera was to film himself eating the tuna sandwich.

Will just repeat this again, for posterity.

He was just hanging out for 12 hours in the bushes with a scoped rifle for fun, I guess.
Hang on.

I’m not for a second suggesting the bad guys intention wasn’t to kill Trump.

But if the bad guy didn’t pull the trigger and didn’t get any shots off, how can he possibly be charged with attempted homicide?

I feel like I have at least above average knowledge of this stuff.

And probably won't be. I'm just saying the intent is rock solid.

Oh by the way, the bomb threat today was a big nothingburger (thankfully).

I'm gonna go shopping old school COVID style now, in preparation for the new lockdowns.

Say I grab a chain saw and put it in the passenger seat of my truck and drive to my girlfriends place of employnent

I’m really angry at her and have thoughts of killing her so I park right outside the door that she always exits so I can chop off her her head when she comes out.

As she walks toward the exit the police start shooting at my truck because I was acting suspiciously and I speed off.

Have I committed Attempted Homicide?

No. If I show up outside your house with a gun pointed at it should I be arrested for a crime? I just think one charge should have to do with what he had intent to do, not merely gun charges.

Lol so if you muster up the courage to kill someone, plan it out, get to the moment, have a sudden change of heart or realize it's the wrong thing to do or wuss out or whatever and don't go through with it... you still go to jail for life?

slippery slope to start letting cops and government decide intentions and charge people for crimes they didn't actually attempt to get away with
We also have to iron out the rules on at what point they are guilty of the crime they didn't commit yet.

- Thought of crime occurs
- Early Google searches/light research
- More detailed planning
- Gather necessary materials
- Go to location of planned crime

Is it when you get to a certain number of miles from the crime? When you buy the first item? Your third Google search?

The next door neighbor, no. A presidential candidate, eh. Not many facts are coming out anymore.

Lol I never said go to jail for life

Y'all have to start reading

I said "should be charged with a crime"

And Tron, I can't change the laws, last I checked.

My example was VERY specific, and had a connection to the context of this crime.

This right here is straight nonsense.
