Season one was pretty much the first book. The second season, they combined two of the books. Of course, they changed a lot of the book. LaFayette was supposed to be killed, Tara is a minor character and Jessica never existed.

You know, I thought I had watched it until I watched the re-cap of Season 1 yesterday. Probably because you and I have talked a lot about it and I have read the first three books. Season 1 looked so much better than Season 2. I couldn't stand that Maenad lesbian, mostly due to the stupid camera tricks they always used for her.
 
They really aren't following the book for that. I liked the way it was written: Dad found out mom was a shifter (when they "came out") and tried murdering her. Just a mention in the book and that was it. This whole adopted/biological white trash alcoholic family is horrible.
 
Alright...so am I the only True Blood follower that is really disappointed in this year thus far?

I know last year's story line got a little too crazy but this year is just kinda whatever. Sookie is starting to annoy the ever living shit out of me with her demands of being in the know all the time.

Sam's family stuff is weird and kinda boring. Eric being in trouble with dealing Vampire blood...that is alright but not sure how much further they can drag that out. The Tara storyline is beyond snoreville...

They better do something soon or I am pretty sure I am done with this show.

I honestly don't blame you...this season has been horrendous. I feel bad because I was one of the people that said this is a must watch show and pushed for you to get into it.
