Curious Tron, what makes a heavy favorite like the Braves on the runline "ping"? These picks always seem to be out of sync with your usual stuff.
Assad's (Cubs) ERA is 1.70
I think the "public" sees a lot of value in him as a pretty big dog. He's not a 1.70 ERA pitcher. It's a mirage.

Also I think last night might have been the breakout the (so far sluggish) Braves offense needed.

Matt Olsen has a .731 OPS this season. He had a .993 OPS last season.

Ronald Acuńa has a .696 OPS this year. He had a 1.012 OPS last season.

Those are DRAMATIC differences.

These slumps aren't going to last.

This is my biggest "feel" play of the year. I think that's what you're implying and you're right

Interesting. I'd be curious to see how heavily the public is betting on the Cubs.

Braves are 6-1 last seven with six wins by 2+ runs, including 7-0 and 2-0 so far in this series. Cubs are 7-10 last 17 games and have looked terrible in this series.

Atlanta is a World Series favorite at home against a middle of the pack team. Morton is a known commodity on the mound. Seems like the public would be on the Braves, not against them.

Atlanta hasn't been "Atlanta" yet all season (see info on Olsen and Acuńa for starters)

And again, I like being on the other side of a 3-0 pitcher with a 1.70 ERA on the Run Line

The Cubs are the 5th best team in the NL.

Other than your assertion that the Cubs are a middle of the pack team, I'm not saying you're wrong.

Again, this is my first "feel" play of the season.

Yeah, middle of the pack was exaggerated, but you know what I mean. Missed the playoffs last year. Under .500 last ~20 games. Not on Atlanta's tier.
