Davey, when I was 13 I was living with my father in a distant foreign country, living with him I took care of everything around in the apartment, he would throw money at me like the career asshole that he was and I would use it to go grocery shopping and pay the rent and anything else needed, as the time went by there were occasions where he would not show up, at first it was a couple days absent, then it was a week here a week there, and on and on each time longer, by the time I was 14 one day he simply never came back, I couldn't pay and had to leave the apartment, my one and only good mate, his mother an English lady, offered for me to come stay with them, I stay with them for some months, my friend's father though he was real abusive, he would beat up his son for any or no reason, not just a discipline belt but closed fist punches to the face, bruised ribs black eyes, my friend never fought back, by the the time we were 15 we decided to leave, now what was a stupid latin american kid to do to survive in this foreign land, when you're in the street you have to fight the devil fork to fork, and when you have to do it in a hell hole you become a demon, so not to be homeless we robbed people, knife jacks wallets jewelry, home invasions, narc sale, pimping, anything became just one more thing to do, until we were 18 and we found a way out, Davey you should distance yourself from me because of my checkered past, I'm no good

Davey, distance yourself from Stevie, the type of mental, physical and financial abuse he did to Cami for years, that's definitely a checkered past incompatible with 2021

being better to those we interact with on a daily basis here on the forums for the few minutes a day that we do on avg is a pretty easy goal

it's also pretty easy to take a few milliseconds and mentally determine the folks that we think suck for using those daily interactions in a shitty way.

RJ...did you pretend to be friends with someone and then rob them and then troll them on a message board while posting information told to you in confidence? Doubtful.
I would never lobby for anyone to be canceled on their past. I legit don’t care if he posts anywhere or not..truly. I try very hard not to judge people, because until you’ve walked a mile yada yada...and have befriended many with checkered pasts and possibly presents...but to defraud someone numerous times, throw it in someone’s face, troll them, and call them prey is a different level. That’s the difference between your every day criminal out of necessity, and those scammers who do it for sport as much or more than necessity.

@Vegas Dave I'd love it if you don't distance yourself.

Instead, you can use your proximity to try to create accountability in situations for both yourself and for others!

There is no reason that we have to settle for being shitty humans or being around shitty human beings.

You can try to attempt to not be around those exhibiting less shittiness, by walking away from those situations (it's very easy these days, especially online) or you can ask for those exhibiting vulnerability to shitty decisions to be removed.

I think the more honest way, is to stay around and stick up for those that are mistreated. I think the voice of those that stolen from can be amplified and backed as well, letting the shitty people know that, they can do better.

It was more an example for Davey about that throwing the first rock yada yada, rather than a comment on your situation. Regarding you and plom, I don't know, I don't know about the details, I don't know what dealings yall had, nobody came to me for anything, so I can't interject myself in the situation. Getting involved in someone else's forum fight/battle/whatever without knowing the details is like getting in between a husband and wife's fight, you probably have good intention getting in between but in the end the husband and wife make up and you're left to be the asshole third who stuck your nose in their business. I like Davey, always have, I hope he doesn't leave.
