"To be sure we offer the SBR Points Loyalty Program to posters who are loyal and supportive which is pretty much everyone. Almost.

There are a few posters who's only agenda is to degrade the site and some have even posted how to cheat SBR and abuse the program which really hurts all of the posters. Every forum has a few of these so no big deal but they will not participate in the points programs or contests.

Also, so as not to clutter the already busy Players Talk Forum, please post all Points Program question or comments in the forum dedicated to just that, The Points Forum http://forum.sbrforum.com/sbr-points/"

So now they are going to take away the points and contests from the complainers. Who here cannot enter a contest?

I can't, but I never played in the SBR contests anyway. Play in too many with the same account and they can retroactively add you to their affiliate rolls. I've never had one SBR affiliate account, and just because they're such scum, I make it a point to tell every book I sign up with that I heard about them on Covers. I'll never forgive Dozer for calling me a child molester and threatening to call the Feds in that ban I got for selecting a twink picture for IWin after winning an avatar bet. That's by far the biggest slight anyone has made against my character, even in person.

I told RBS John to cut me off from the points program and use my points to help pay for the tax he introduced and instead send me an online coupon for a 12 pack of Coca Cola once a month and he agreed. He said if people don't want the free points they should have an alternative.

hmmmmmm.....very interesting

AK
I think we all know how legit they are etc.. Carib Sports emailed me a few weeks ago to watch what happens this next few weeks with there rating.. I said why? They said because they lowered SBR's affiliate percentage and even gave them a month advance warning of them doing so.

So basically if you cut there money, they will put You on a shit list and put You with Regulated Legit Companies. :suicide_anim:
I think we all know most ratings are paid for.

Well like my old pal buddies always say, please lower me! "It keeps the bonus whores away"

Chi Archie with a solid post over on S-Faggot-R...

Remember when Mexican Stallion graded every contest by hand, for free, pre-S-faggot-R Picks days?

Apparently S-faggot-R doesn't.

Good point, I'd forgotten about the fiasco which was that team contest, one of the few from that era that either LT or MexStallion didn't grade. But this is hardly the first time that S-faggot-R has shown that they only keep you around when you're useful to them. They never were the same after BBD got the can.

Fascinating stuff right there, provided it's accurate. Affiliate percentages are typically adjusted based on the previous quarter's sign-up numbers, with preset thresholds that trigger them. Could it be that S-faggot-R saw this coming, that even with the points program they simply weren't keeping pace with past performance? That could be the impetus behind all the radical changes over there and why they're acting even more paranoid than usual. I keep going back to when John lied about GL having attempted to open affiliate arrangements with some of their sponsors. Chances are he brought that up because it was already on his mind and he had called around to see if it had happened. Once he realized it hadn't, he thought he could appear to have the upper hand by having "allowed" GL to have a slice of the pie.

You have to give John credit for one thing, and one thing only: he's probably one of the most naturally scandalous people any of us will ever encounter.

I graded many contests in my time with SBR. The only contest I had nothing to do with was the Team Contest other than grading my own team. I don't think I ever got anything really or was I expected to. I just wanted to help out everyone, so they knew were they stood in the contests and could make plays accordingly. Vegas Dave sent me some SBR Merchandise though while he was running some baseball contests. I always appreciated Dave's kind gesture.

MexStalllion was used like a rug. I remember when the points came out I used to post a game I liked and book bets for that game and then pay the winners and keep the losers points. This is when all started. Then MexStallion took it to the next level and created the best book. But then the plagiarists at RBS took his idea and made their own book. When their book failed because of no creativity, bad lines, minimum betting options and other shortcomings they decide to close up the other books hoping it will create more business to theirs. This is not how Fortune 100 companies do business. They don't shut down opposition because it limits innovation and creativity. They buy them out and bring them on board to make their product better. They could have offered a premium for Mex's points so he can close his book and then bring him on board to show them how to run a succesful book. If he can make 100-200 points a night with 10,000 points in action and the best lines available imagine how many points the book can make with 10X or more in action every night. But no..They are so stubborn in thinking everything they create in house, with stolen ideas, has to work eventually that they don't want to admit it. Just stay on the sidelines guys and watch the motherfukker burn.

SJ to me from the very beginning was only out to make a buck from us! If you go back and see the few posts I wrote to him it was always breaking his cookies about what he was plugging. The guy was smart not to answer me back knowing it would only get worse. Not a fellow poster IMO?
