Semi-related although not specific to BBD related is the misuse of then and than. People tend to get this wrong all the time. Most probably aren't even aware I guess.

what really gets me is when people spell lose or loser as loose or looser

misspelling used to grind my gears but i've gotten past that at least when it comes to on-line articles/posts/etc. i pride myself on having good grammar, solid spelling and decent typing skills, but it's still very easy for me to be thinking one word and my fat fingers type a similar word. it's also an evolutional and -- dare i say? -- generational issue. language evolves constantly, especially americanese. the younger generation has also grown up communicating on-line as a major form of interacting with people. typos and poor grammar have become more acceptable if for no other reason than all posts/texts have a larger audience.

I never understood why 'loser' or 'lose' is such a hard word to spell for many people.

I can understand then/than, but what are people thinking when they type 'your such a looser'?

I posted 'Boozers are Loosers' in another thread. Anyone that's hip would understand that it was spelled purposely for obvious reasons.
