TT has a NTC plus he'd put Philly way over the cap. Philly are basically stuck with who they have unless the decide to make a move for Nabokov who could be had on the cheap. The thing is though is that NAbby can be nabbed by a rival team as he will haev to pass through waivers. Unlikey!!!

I wonder if Philly would Trade, Carter for Thomas, Caron, and a 1st rounder, but not Toronto's one.

he may not be sexy and all but he would make your team the favorites in the East. With the Defense you have and the physical style of the forwards I wouldn't want to play Philly in the playoffs.

Plus Philly has the best captain in all of hockey.

I meant that as 1000% sexy. I love bacon and bewbies so it is a perfect combo. Good to hear you say that about Richie. He is the man isn't he? Truly leads by example.

Oh I took it the other way, the booze must be affecting me. Richards might be my favorite player in the NHL. I'll have to think about that one, but he is the leader in the clubhouse.

Well as I mentioned TT has a NTC and they'd be giving up waaaaaaaaaaaaay to much for Carter.

I think Thomas might waive it, and they may be giving up to much, but they would get cap flexibility going forward. Rask is the Bruins future and possible present, I think Carter, is a restricted FA after this season, so he could moved, and now the Bruins, have options.

My guess is that the majority of players look up to and listen to Pronger when he opens his mouth in the D room. It's no secret that there is friction between Pronger and Richards. Richards is a decent captain, but still very inexperienced. Pronger shoudl have been made Captain when he was traded to Philly. He big, mean,plays like a warrior and has Cup experience. Having a Stanley Cup ring helps as well.

Carter signed an 11 year contract extension that has a limited NTC. He's not going anywhere.

Thomas is playing lights out and is outplaying Rask. Boston would be NUTS to ask TT to waive his NTC. Even if Boston asked him to waive his NTC, Thomas can refuse.

I guess I forgot about that 11 year contract. Thomas has been great this year but, the Bruins need to get out from under that contract, 2 more years at 5 per after this year. I would be asking him daily.
 
The Flyers go with the hot Ruskie and play the hand out. No trades off a team that is clicking just right. Pronger gets his little vacation and rested for playoffs. We have seen already that Bobsy has so much more upside than Leighton if both on their game!
