most of our area grocery stores, except for our closest and most used Pete's Fresh market. Have quickly begun to adopt the quarter deposit to unhook a cart to use.

so when I go to the further away West loop Pete's or anywhere else that uses the deposit method. I get a double super hero Jesus dopamine hit.

a) put the cart back in a coral and protect cars from damage during wind, and from taking up an otherwise open and usable parking spot
b) some lucky soul that forgot a quarter, gets to use a cart, or some hustler gets to return that cart to the front of store and get 25 cents towards their next booze or drug purchase.
