There are no lies on social media I call bullshit!

But seriously, someone explain to me why that person looks like a man to the reasonable eye? I'm trying to understand.

:handshake:
So in both cases, Lin Yu-Ting and Imane Khelif were born female and raised female.

The gender test that the IBA used to DQ these two is classified, so we don't actually know how or why they failed. There are medical conditions like DSD (disorders of sex development) that can lead to biological women having Y chromosomes.

Both were cleared to compete in the Olympics by the IOC's standards. Whether or not they should be allowed to compete with these possible genetic abnormalities (we don't know the details of) is a fair question I don't have an answer for without more information. Point being though, this isn't the Olympics being "woke" and allowing two men who transitioned into women to compete, it's two women who have always been women and competed as women competing.

Also, Khelif is 37-9 with five KOs in her career and Lin Yu-Ting is 41-14 with one KO. This doesn't prove that possible genetic abnormalities don't help make them faster or stronger boxers, but it certainly discounts the idea that they have overwhelming man-like power.

The drug testing showed high levels of testosterone. The IBA stated that they did "specific gender affirmation testing," but won't reveal the test or the results. I'm assuming that they had been tested before since they've both been boxing for years.

I believe any gender transition is illegal in Algeria, but I could be wrong.

I don't think that's clear either. Directly from the IBA statement (https://www.iba.sport/news/statemen...fications-in-world-boxing-championships-2023/):

"Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors."

So this would seem to indicate that it wasn't just a matter of high levels of testosterone. But then it isn't clear, either... maybe it IS just high testosterone, revealed by another test as opposed to "testosterone examination". The whole thing is unclear due to the confidentiality of the tests.
