He's certainly off to a good start Stevie. He's not overly big, but he's a good size for today's NHL. He had decent numbers in College, but 95% of college players who sign on as free agents end up failing. Hopefully this isn't the case for this fine Canadian kid.

The fact that he's 25 would concern me a wee bit Stevie. If he was a young fella at 20 - 21 and plucked out of college then I'd be more pumped if I were a Flyers fan.

I'm not overall happy with the quality/ flow of the games this season. Usually the seasons start out with good flow. It seems that all the teams are playing the same style. I couldn't tell them apart much if not for the uniforms.

I think a super slow NHL caliber Jagr should sign with the Pens if he accepts to play on the cheap. A lot of teams will overpay for a 3rd - 4th liner, but Jagr could work any PP in the NHL. If any team pays him over $3 million per then they are absolutely foolish. I honestly don't think Jagr (unless he hires serious personal trainer like Gary Roberts) will be able to keep up with all top 2 lines on any NHL team next season. I hope I'm wrong though. Despite his "pouty" ways, Jagr was a real treat to watch.

I am not sure what motivation this guy has left, he was one hell of a talent, but was moody, and would go through phases when you wondered what the hell he was doing. His name wont sell tickets, so not sure how much money he can get. I wouldn't want him on my team, I dont think he has the personality to take a back seat and play a limited role.

Inevitable he is going back to Pitt. Why create the drama and drag it out. Just sign already.

No Arch. He's another strange Euro player. Obviously his head isn't screwed on straight. Likely couldn't handle the rough and tumble NHL. Probably way too much travel for him as well. PUSSY!!!

Good Lord!!! I think the fans in Philly will run him out of town. Philly hockey fans are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to hockey.

I wonder now if Bryzy stats were padded with a solid D in front of him when he played on the defensive minded Phoenix teams. Look at this year when Pronger was leading the team. Same thing.

for years Phoenix played a defensive minded hybrid system. They are not a run and gun hockey team. I thought you were a Ducks fan? You haven't watched and observed the Yotes when they played Anaheim?

I think of Kings and Stars as defensive low scoring teams..never really put phx in that category.
