Such a promising year and looking forward to possibly winning the Cup probably won't happen because of what they have between the pipes! Everyone here I guess could see it coming but I was hoping Bob could get them through?
Said this last year and saying it again, the stats show that Brian Bouch is a career backup-part time starter and Michael L. is a career backup-minor leaguer. Once again I say I rather have a good goalie take on 30-35 shots than have an average goalie take on 15-20 shots.
Weak 2 goals by Bouch the other night and that goal by Leighton yesterday! WTF? With no Pronger around the dire goalie situation looks more depressing to Flyer faithful!
Coach Petey was supposed to be the genius but how do you tell the Bob to go sit up in the pressbox for game 3 after he played well in a 1-0 game lost and played poorly in game 2? Just cause your on the hook for mucho cash to Leighton doesn't mean he has to dress or furthermore play! There is a big reason other than the cash no team picked him up on waivers! He sucks!
I could see demoting the Bob to the bench but how do you bring him back now? Hopefully Petey will put him as backup with Brian starting and adios to Leighton! Maybe Bousch can rekindle some magic and get past the Sabres and Pronger can be at close to full strength for the next series?
