After she was born, I asked the nurse what her blood type was. I'm A and the Other Matty is O. I paid attention in biology class, so I know that she could only be A or O. I was more curious as to whether she was + or - because I would have to get a shot if she was +. The nurse said, "She's B+."

I knew I would have a lot of explaining to do since both the Other Matty and his mom were present in the room. I said, "Yeah, there's no way that's possible. I'm A and he's O." Fortunately, I was the only one that paid attention in 9th grade biology.

The nurse came back and said, "Sorry about that. I got the babies mixed up. She's A+." Thankfully, the child looks too much like him to debate the paternity after that mix up.

Cause of incompatibility between mom and baby's blood type, which could cause problems during breastfeeding (I think?)

Incidentally, JL is also A+ like his daddy, and the woman is O-. She had to have a shot.
