I was a bit surprised. Probably shouldn't have been. The guy just out-of-of the-blue has a great season off-the-charts better than he has ever done before.
Shades of Brady Anderson really.
But I was a bit surprised. For one things times have changed since Anderson and I'm not constantly on alert for PED's. For another, Collabello is built like a lumpy pillow.
But also he is very high on the likeability scale - so I never really stopped to be suspicious of him.
Whateva. He is doing then old, "I don't know how this happened!" defense. I have no respect for that. Plus he was hitting like .070 for the season so I can't say I am devastated to have him out of the lineup.
We move on.
