I used to think penalty kicks are too extreme also, but now I believe it's right. It's so hard to get in the box and the net is so big, he's probably gonna score without the foul. The fouls are generally more intentional than I realized and the defenders are forced to play cleanly, which is good.

I get it now. It’s pretty easy to disguise your intention cause the act of throwing your arms up while jumping looks natural. Obviously referees don’t fall for this shit.
