Atleast they aren't continuing to stiff people by taking deposits.

Ryan Rossi: Hello
Ryan Rossi: How can i assist youi>?
xxxxx: Hey Ryan, I was looking to make a deposit and wanted to know if you guys had any bonuses going
Ryan Rossi: We are not taking deposits.
Ryan Rossi: I apologize.
xxxxx: Ah, ok. Thanks

I'm sorry for anyone who lost money.

But what a ridiculous fucking non-industry.

Line services, and the Internet in general, have allowed the criminally retarded/retardedly criminal to try their hand at "entrepreneurship".

Die you braindead low-lives.

Looking for honest non-prejudice replies.

Doesn'y SBR have some culpability here at least from an ethical standpoint? From reading through the post it seemed like Justin warned that the business model was questionable at BetIslands yet from another post SBR Lou gave it his blessing and apparently SBR upgraded the book after word was given they had secured financial backing.

Obviously I have no idea how much if any of these things are true and maybe some of you have more information. However if you market yourself as a "watchdog" and you upgrade them and allow them to become a sponsor and then something like this happens you are part responsible.

I agree any of us who deposit into offshore books are taking a huge risk. First it's illegal from the states and secondly it's an unregulated badlands so no-one who gets taken is without blame of their own.

Why would anyone trust any of these books? Why would anyone trust a "watchdog" who receives dollars from the very books they are supposed to be monitoring?

Really sucks to see people get stiffed for money they worked hard for, especially if it's part of their livelihood! If across the street is indeed involved, they should give out equivalent points or close to it to members affected! Like store not giving you cash, but credit to buy items at their store! Are points worth anything these days of value to a gambler?

The problem is dealing in shady business with shady people and posters who have shady agendas. Obviously not everyone is motivated with a self-serving agenda but their are enough of them out there that make it practically impossible to get reliable information.

It's easy to accept that with individuals although still disheartening and it should be a constant cause for alarm with the books themselves but when a forum, a public forum which presents itself as a watchdog can't be trusted, I don't it just seems so much more wrong.
