Suddenly I'm getting multiple ads and recommendations relating to the show Friends - which I probably watched a few episodes of in the 90's but I didn't stick with it and I have no interest in now.

I might understand this though. There was a story in the news last week about a guy in the UK stealing a case of beer - and he was caught on camera - and he looked a lot like Ross from Friends.

I ended up following a few threads - and saw David Schwimmer's little gag video in response - and probably the facebook spying algorithms noted all that and interpreted that I give a flying fuck about the show Friends.
