Muddy how much fucking Diamond Dash does one need to play to reach Level 150? Holy fok man.

I dunno. I signed up sometime after I reactivated my Facebook account which, if I am understanding my timeline, was July 2011 - 2 years. For almost a year and a half of that time I was working full-time and probably only averaged 2-3 sets a day. A set being five one-minute games. I guess more on weekends.

When not working for the last 6-7 months, I play all through the day if I'm home. You can't play continuously because you play a set and then you have to wait ~an hour for it to reload (which is probably good because there have been times in the past when I have gotten compulsive about certain computer games). But I probably average, I dunno, 8 sets a day when I'm not working??

It doesn't sound to me like that should get you to level 150 but here I am.

:dunno:

As I say, I like how it's set up so you can't play continuously. I have a history of developing compulsions for games. I have wasted large chunks of time on stupid games at times.

Eight 5-minute breaks through a day. I'm not bothered by that.

The game has changed in the last month or so to become easier. All my 1 million games have been in the last couple weeks. I'm still getting used to the changes to some extent, and I'm sure I can go higher.

Sure enough, after fiddling around with boosts all week, my first set back to the regular game I broke my old record. Judging by the way things were falling, I believe it is not just my wonderful skillz, but that they have continued to make the game easier.

I wish they would just decide how they want it to be and leave it.

It'll sound counterintuitive to some but I just realized that the game is easier when played on a computer with a regular old mouse. Whatever advantage you think you have by double-thumbing your phone's screen is negated by the fact that you're partly blocking your view of the board in the process.

Try it.

You talking to me? I have only played it on my computer with a mouse.

Meanwhile I have played 3 sets since going back to non-boosted games and I have broken my old record 3 times.

I'm thinking they have definitely made it easier. Again.

I wonder what they mean when they say someone is better than 99% of the players.

Top score? Average score? Some kind of composite?

I assume they don't include bonus or boosted scores but I'm not positive. I saw one notice that Ray got that said I achieved a score of 780,000 (or something like that) which didn't correspond to anything that I could figger.

:dunno:

Ray forwarded me a notice he got about my DD activities through FB messaging. That's the only thing I've seen. I think at the time it said 90% and it referenced that mystery number.

Since then, someone (might have been Ray again) said in this thread there was a subsequent message that said 99%. They didn't mention an associated score/number.

I don't get the notices myself.

Oh, on further investigation there was a score/number. I'm not sure what it is referring to. I mean, I have gone over a million if you include bonuses but I had at the time of the other message that said 780k or whatever.

:dunno:

Muddaayyy.... over 1 million pts. on diamond dash... better than 99% of the world ... for a game that has more than 100million players, that is quite impressive...especially since he isnt buying any special features, game cheats or any of that shit
:highfive:

you go over 1mil and you will be better than 99% of the rest.... after that, its meaningless because of all the hacks/cheats... guys can give themselves as many gold bars as they want...etc.. score as high as they want... takes the fun out of it
