They dropped a HUGE upgrade. Tom at F8 they will release more shitty partnerships to help their sinking ship. Leave now before these faggots collect all the information about you and sell it. It'sa ll they have left.

Mark my words when they go public the VCs will sell pre-ipo and idiots will hype up the price post-ipo and then the market will correct with a bomb.

So obviously you are going to get rich taking the other side of the trade? I agree there prolly will be an ipo bubble but I don't want to ever bet against a company that sees 896,985,432,763,096,864,321,876,765 logons a day, even if we don't know how they will drive monetization. That's some powerful shit right there.

Not sure what you mean by monetization - revenues? Facebook is prolly the largest consumer database in the world, so companies like my employer do not hesitate to throw shitloads of money at them to run ad campaigns on the site. Shit, Facebook itself has partnered with the same payment processors that sportsbooks use (Moneybookers, Instadebit et al.) to allow users to buy FB credits so they can play stupid flash games. That's two monster income streams right there.

GameLive has programmers, and creative types. Why can’t the collective minds get together and become “The Next Big Thing”, if even for a short time so we can cash in. I need some new knees dammit.

There has to be a way to market Steve/'s and Cali.

Matty, I get it but by working together today we are in fact selfishly working for ourselves for tomorrow.

While kidding about GameLive, I am truly jealous of those who have the creativeness or luck to either develop or the foresight to recognize those things which take over and make untold millions.

Yeah. As of today we have no idea how facebook will turn its product (logins, customer info, etc) into money. Sure everyone is predicting that they will sell information and ad space, more than they do now, but so far that has proven a net loss. Facebook loses LOTS of money every year and has since its inception. So far the revenues from micropay have not proven to be signifant (for facebook, not so for the developers like zinga), and it looks like subscription based social networking is out (look how shitty linkedin is faring).

If you look at my post youll see that essentially I agree with you. I don't see how facebook will turn its incredible product into money, but im sure as shit not betting that it wont.
