Hate to put an ad in the paper and bunch of morons show up at the house! Who's my market I might contact I guess I'm saying? :dunno:

Selling tools, you are bound to get lowballers and possibly a seedier bunch... What kind of tools are you talking MrM??

Maybe you could get a table at a flea market somewhere if you had enough tools to sell?

Is there any point to keeping CDs? I haven't missed them in 3 years. Can't you pretty much play anything you want online for free?

If you want to listen to something at higher quality it may be good to hang onto some of your more favorite CD's. .mp3 is pretty bad in comparison to the .wav files on the CDs

So, for the past three weeks or so I have been in the process of cleaning out mom's house. What a P ITA.

The green caterpillar metal lamp in the picture in my avatar is in our basement.. it is kind of interesting mid century kind of thing ..but it is fugly. I put it on craigslist for $30 and then found an antique Store in loss Angeles asking $900 for the same lamp. I know darn well that lamp is not worth $900..I doubt it's worth $30, but it made me think, and I had to pull it off craigslist so here it sits.

I made $800 selling zero furniture but lots of crap in two days. There is still a lot of junk out there so I will probably do the garage sale another day or two just to clear things out. Then I will begin the process of figuring out what to do with the furniture, silver, jewelry, etc. I should've started this process three years ago.

IAG, I hope you are in good spirits these days. Be careful when sellgin stuff. Lots of stuff could be worth something.
. Yeah. I found that out. I already found out that some of the stuff that I gave to Goodwell was worth something. I'm not talking about I life-changing amount of money by any means but certainly I could have gotten $30-$40 for this clock I gave away. Lesson learned. I have also found the things that you think are going to be worth something are worth nothing. The things that you think are worth nothing, may be worth much more than expected....I have also found that you cannot give a set of encyclopedias away. The goodwill stores here won't even take them anymore.

Good spirits? IDK. It's day today, hour to hour....so much relief in one respect , but of course it's a sad thing to lose a parent. Although I lost her long ago really.lots of "little deaths" with Alz and related conditions. I'm going back to Cabo in Feb, so I have that to look forward to....eventually I'll have to figure out what to do with my life...probably no way to escape going back to work, but I would like to do something satisfying, even if I never make the money I used to. Life is short.
