Rough one for Steves.

It started out so well as we got some rest in the hospital, then got half ripped on the way back.

Now, on Friday I noticed a sign on the door of the Barnes and Noble I have been frequenting that said that come Monday anyone dining in would have to show proof of vaccination. Thought little of it seeing as I have a print out showing that I'm vaccinated.

BIG red x.

There is a new mandate passed in Philly stating that basically anyone dining in anywhere has to show proof of vaccination. The guard here was ok w the print out, but the manager not so much. Then the manager at Starbucks not so much.

Basically no one will take it, it has to be the card that was stolen with my wallet.

The hospital can't just redo that nor can city records.

Basically it's going to take estimated at a week, as I'm just about broke, and the freezing weather just rolled in.

Also nothing from Halfway house Steve.

So, a lot of bad new today and it'll be a tough week. Hopefully the libraries will let me in w the printout, and hopefully I can get in touch w Steve.

My posts will temporarily be significantly less as I find a new place to keep my devices charged while keeping the charge I have.

There has to be a solution for people in your situation. Up here we can just download a PDF that has a QR code on it, it links directly to the public health database.

Looks like PA doesn't have that but they can provide you with your vaccination record while you wait for the new card.

Whatever your legitimate gripes about vaccine mandates and requirements may be, comparing public health efforts to Nazi Germany is ignorant is fuck and *severely* downplaying those atrocities.

I'm not even saying I agree with mandates, but I understand their purpose. I mean fuck. You complain about lockdowns/forced closures, and now when cases are skyrocketing, these mandates are attempting to AVOID those while still making some effort to protect the old and immunocompromised. But fuck them and let them and their inferior genes die instead of wearing masks/getting vaccinated right? That sounds a lot more Nazi-ish than these mandates, if you want to go throwing around ridiculous Nazi comparisons.

But if you wanna go that route, modern tactics are obviously different. They will likely not put the unvaccinated into gas chambers (unless they can convince more people that it's the only way to eliminate evil virus)
More likely will try to starve people out by not letting them make a living, get shelter, and imprison them once they get out of line. How many will perish? Nobody will count. Just like nobody would've counted Nazi autrocities if they weren't defeated.
Meanwhile the rest of us more obedient ones will get a chance to service the masters, for a while.
