All this Apple shit is a new phenomenon. Ten years ago APPL was a $6 stock and the only people using Macs were the kids in the slow classes.

Dude... in '98 even Carrie on Sex And the City had a Powerbook. Many of us have been using Macs long before the teenyboppers and hipsters got hooked on iPods and iPhones. We actually had Mac labs at my university. :)

My parents bought an Apple IIgs when I was in first grade. It cost $3,000 or something ridiculous. It didnt even have a hard drive, everthing booted from those big black floppy disks.

I will say that ipods rock. I bought mine five years ago and it cost me a week's worth of wages and I still use it errday. My only gripe with Apple shit is that it is all excessively overpriced. I bought an android phone for roughly 1/4 of the price of an iphone. Apple I guess is a master of taking advantage of people's brand loyalty.

This is precisely the nonsense I'm tired of hearing.

You can buy a fucking MacBook Pro for $1100 at Best Buy right now.

And that's not even mentioning screen quality, durability etc etc etc

OK let me update the prices. Why do I want to spend $1100 on a MacBook when I can spend $400 on a Toshiba Satellite that will last the same? Tell me what I can do with MacBook Pro that I can't so with a Toshiba Satellite and still have $700 in my pocket.

You can look cool pavy.

Apple must have some hypnotic shit going on. 2 years ago Id never touched one. Now I have like 5 plus ipad and iphone and am at the moment doing most all my work on my old sony PC laptop. Why did I buy all this crap?

When I'm no longer at my other job, I probably won't buy a Mac again. It's all I've really used for years but the PC I now use for SBR completely covers everything I need a computer to do in my daily life. And I refuse to spend $800 on an iPad my son will just murder in a few weeks anyway. Saving my SBR points for it instead. I do like my iPhone though...I'll stick with it for quite awhile.

I like my ipad. Emily likes to play with it and then stand on it. Im sure its gonna break.

I like my macs too, mostly pissed that my mac mini server died on me, and these idiots here cant fix it. I will use macs for pictures, web stuff, family stuff, but next computer i get is gonna be a pc for work.
