I started cleaning 1 APT this morning and said , "FUK THIS SHIT"
made a few calls and hired 2 folks to come and do the rest.

APTs werent as nasty as I was expecting though, but not something I'm interested in doing. I gladly pay someone $8-$10 an hr to do it.
 
theres nothing to steal in the APTs except for a nasty ass stove and fridge, maybe the toliet if they need one.
but yea, my insurance would cover it( I think) if I wanted to make a claim.

Mikey I have a HS buddy who started a business when he was 16 cleaning summer cottages. Easy work, I think he charged $40 a cottage back, then, but 2 guys would be out of the place in 30 minutes top. Now he has 2 whole crews doing the cleaning, they clean all kinds of office buildings, apartment complexes, and summer homes. He does none of the cleaning, he does the hiring, the payroll, and some networking to get more gigs. Last year he cleared $40k for about 20 hours of work a week. If good to have other people earn money for you.
 
I was crunching the numbers last night and unless the APTs can get cleaned in an hour or little over an hr then I wont be continuing this.
after expenses/taxes/insurance/etc.. I'll just be churning money through the system.. not worth my time
or I'll have to find someone who can get it done faster or raise rates
charging b/t $75-$105 per APT now.
gonna give it a month or 2 and see what happens...
they also want me to give them a quote on repainting the APTs... might be able to make a few bucks off the painters I know just subbing it out
I dont paint either
 
this turned out to be a fuking headache,and not worth my time
its been constant nit picking shit since day one in these nasty ass APTs.



APT manager called nit picking shit about the cleaning that was done this week and I went off on the bitch.
I had already been stewing since Tuesday when I turned in a bill and she tells me it'll be a minimum of 30 days before I get paid,
this after her telling me it would only take a couple days after cooperate received my bill when I first talked to her about the job.

right now they owe me about $600, sent a bill in 3 weeks ago also.
so I;m sending a girl over there in the morning to make them happy and they can have that bullshit.

the only way I will continue doing it is on a T&M basis or doubling my rate


got enough new construction/remodel jobs coming up right now so I couldnt care less.
rather spend my time on a constructioin site making good money then dealing with that shit
