My opinion hasn't changed. Brad vs Ken is the heavyweight bout I want to see. Having the machine there just clouds things up and means that it will not be a clear victory for whichever of the two humans comes out ahead.

I am really not fascinated with the computer. It obviously digests the questions much faster than the humans so it has longer to come up with an answer. If it has the answer it beats the humans to the buzzer consistently so as far as those elements go, I feel like I'm watching a car going against humans in a footrace. Not compelling to me.

Its way of thinking is a curiosity but I don't relate it to anything. It's like its playing a different game. Fortunately it has enough moments of dopiness to keep things close (so far).

Yeah, that seems to be the major drawback. I did see the computer get beat to the buzzer a handful of times when it was confident in its answer (green bar) but it obviously has a huge advantage in that regard... maybe they could've added a randomized delay that would mimic a human's reaction time, otherwise it seems unfair. The appeal of the challenge is to see how good the computer is at digesting the clues and coming up with an answer, not how accurately it can buzz in.

Still, I thought it started to get interesting towards the end when "Watson" started answering wrong. The computer can't seem to solve clues that are formulated as a riddle - it prefers those that contain a lot of keywords that are directly related to the answer.

Ima watch that shit again tonight.

GO MANKIND

Strange to me that they would not have the computer programmed not to repeat a wrong answer that was just given. With all the hi-tech fancy-shmancy stuff built into that machine, I would have thought that could be incorporated. Guess not.

I will definitely keep watching and cheering for mankind.
