The Grey ... Liam Neeson is just a hard guy to dislike in movies... this fucker kills wolves for a living and then shit turns on him when he and 6-7 other guys survive a plane crash in the middle of fucking nowhere and some wolves start to hunt them...it was good enough to hold my attention as one by one, niggas get killed off... 6.8-7.1/10 Matty Rains

dvd rip ... http://www.uploadc.com/kn10ljvs8nqt/The_Grey_2012_DVDSCR_XviD_-_NO_WATERMARK_-_INFERNO.avi.htm
(click on "slow access" then play a time or two on the divx player...might be slow to load)

The Woman in Black ... boring shit with minor strange things happening (mainly some local people who are scared of absolutely everything that has to deal with this one families name/house etc) only begins to get mildly entertaining about 45 minutes in...then some really strange shit starts happening to a guy who is there investigating the story of all the deaths out... i dunno, not my cup of tea, but was the only other thing that was new and in dvd already... 4/10 Matty Rains

(scroll down and hit "free dl" then play a few times...again, could be slow to load...most are these days)

NEW TV
Awake ... about a guy who gets in a wreck and loses his son ... but his mind also thinks he lost his wife instead of son... so part of the time, he and his wife deal with the loss of their boy...and then part of the day, its as if he and his son deal with his wife being gone.... its a mind fuck thing...not a bad show..ill watch more

The Straits ... Aussie programming about a drug smuggling family ... good shit, wont miss any eps. here :nope:

Touch ... Keifer Southerlands new show, well, i watched this about 2 weeks ago and i guess it was a pre screener...his boy doesnt speak, but sees the future through random numbers and shit...first episode i thought was amazingly good for regular tv.

Watched last episode of Downton Abbey! Good series IMO! Now waiting for resumption of Game of Thrones!

Watched a couple of DVD's this weekend. Both have current imdb ratings of 8.0/10. I found both hard to rate for different reasons.

Drive - It seems like it should be cool. It is definitely trying to convey a lot of coolness. I found it only somewhat cool. I had problems with a number of directorial decisions: uneven pacing; awful distracting soundtrack. Stupid ending. But it had a basic entertainment value to it with trying to protect the damsel and the kid. I'm calling it a 5.6/10.

The Help - Started out very strong I thought, but then the last hour+ was just one misstep after another. I liked the basic concept and themes but it degenerated into a series of contrived antics by caricatures. The more I think about it, the less I like it. Manipulative. But it's not like I was thinking of switching it off. At the moment I have it at 6/10 (and sliding ??)

get ready for some disturbing images of Bale...decent flick to me, but looking at him is very difficult at times... he lost around 60lbs down to around 110 lbs, if i recall ... was all bones :puke:

Watched In Time, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, and Harry Potter last one. In Time sucked. Harry Potter was okay, A Very Harold and Kumar was funny but not as good as the previous ones. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was really good and would be the only one I recommend watching.

RR, Muddy, and others who are big TV viewers! Gotta go with this tonight!

Game of Thrones!

April 1, 2012 Game of Thrones, the HBO miniseries which has set a new standard by which all other epic series will now be measured, thrills its many fans by returning for its long-awaited second season on Sunday, April 1, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

HBO will repeatedly air each new episode of Game of Thrones during the week with showings on Mondays at 9 p.m.; Tuesday at 8:05 and 11:05 p.m.; Wednesdays at 7 and 10 p.m.; Thursdays at 5 and 8 p.m.; Fridays at 6 and 9 p.m.; Saturdays at 12 midnight, 2:35 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. (all times are both Eastern and Pacific). Some airings on Friday and Saturday will air on HBO Signature and HBO2, available on some cable systems.

Game of Thrones Season 2 was filmed in Ireland, Croatia, Malta, and Iceland from late July through early December 2011. The lavish production sets a whole new standard for the miniseries on television. It is essentially a ten-hour long feature film, the equivalent of producing the entire Lord of the Rings movie trilogy every single year. The cast and crew are shooting an extremely complex story on location in less than comfortable circumstances. The costumers, artists, designers, set-builders, and every other artisan involved leave no detail out, bring the richly imagined world Martin created in his books to life for the lucky viewers

Game of Thrones!

Hmm, I don't see myself as a particularly big TV viewer. But okay.

I don't know if I get a channel that Game of Thrones is on. Plus it sounds like I have already missed the first season so I wouldn't want to jump in midstream. Maybe I'll get caught up on it through DVD's at some point.

I have been watching the show Awake this season.

I don't particularly recommend it. I guess it's above average for a network show (which is not really saying much) but I don't love it. I could see myself dropping it at any moment but it seems like I am always ready for a break at 10 on Thursday so I keep going back to it.

Sorry Muddy, didn't think you and RR were constantly watching the boob tube but consider you an authority on shows to watch with your ratings!

Yes, too many things to watch with me so get back to it at a later time from the beginning! Like the Downton Abbey show where the 2nd year to me was lacking, I will give you my opinion on G of T on whether to even begin watching it!

Season 2 of Downton Abbey begins this week on the channel that has been getting me caught up. So we'll see about that. I like the show.

My ex was laughing at me that I would enjoy it. Her exact comment:

My surprise is that you're enjoying my type of gossipy british
> humour/family type programming. You must be getting old :):)

Guess I am embracing my inner granny.

i am still watching Awake...will give it a chance...it actually got much more interesting this week
Missing is a new mini series with Ashley Judd...about an ex cia chick and her son that gets kidnapped
Touch is good really good to me...one of those where shit happens to a handful of people and they are all tied to one another somehow
i may give G of T a try, but its not really my speed
Season 2, ep.1 early web release of The Borgias came out the other day and it was damn good
another mini series that started a few weeks ago called Titanic has been interesting to start
and Magic City started the other night on Starz...i liked the hell out of it

As Frank Sinatra rings in a new year in the grand ballroom of Miami Beach's most luxurious dream palace - the Miramar Hotel - its visionary leader, Ike Evans, must deal with the Mob, his complicated family and a city in the midst of dramatic change as Fidel Castro takes control of Cuba, just 200 miles offshore. By day the hotel at the center of 'Magic City' is all diving clown acts and cha-cha lessons by the pool, but at night Miami Beach reveals a darker truth. Dopers, dealers, strippers, gangsters and those who arrest them drift together to hear the top nightclub acts perform. Just beneath the surface, racial tensions stir. Ike must deal with all of this, even while global intrigue is brewing right under his roof. (Source: Starz)

Game of Thrones is bullshit that makes me lose faith in humanity. Every character talks the same, no one has any personality, the whole thing plays out like a cold chessmatch. On the upside there are lots of boobs and softcore sex.

User rating is 9.4/10 on imdb. Unreal.

I rewatched Snatch for the umpteenth time - the GF had never seen it. She liked it, somewhat surprisingly. I love Guy Ritchie's approach to moviemaking. Cool tunes, unusual cuts, larger-than-life baddies and lots of dark humor throughout. 8.9 Matty Rains
