I am a sheet metal worker for the record.

One that has been laid off alot over the years.

So much in fact 3 years ago I went and signed up for the pipefitters union.

Probably 800 people were there at the signup. There were 3 different days to sign up.

All told I heard there were well over 2,000 applicants.

Then you came back and took a test.

I saw less then 10 black people throughout the whole application process..One of those was right in front of me of course...turned around and me if I gots an extra pen. I just looked at him and laughed.

Furthermore. Any job with federal money has guidelines regarding certain amounts of labor and vendor sales to go through minorities or a stiff fine will be imposed. Higher performing whites are routinely laid off before underperforming blacks...decisions made off skin color alone. I hard working knowledgable black construction worker can right his own ticket in this town.

No fault other then the black man for not applying.still easy to bitch and complain.

The Chicago fire department has a history of racism allegations as well.

Honestly...probably true.

Black rights leaders have now influenced the testing profess..no longer does the highest scoring applicants get the job.

They have had a hand in changing the test to a pass/fail test where those that passed get picked randomly.

Lowering the bar to increase blacks numbers.

Meanwhile all the government jobs such as unemployment offices and post offices are proabably 90% black.
