Many of those trades have been performed for generations from Europe. Many blacks came to Chicago in the late 1800's from the south with no skills and worked in factories. I'm pretty sure if a black wanted to go to school to be an electrician, he would have no problem.

I'll also take offense to her numbers. many of the trades are Mexicans now and not whites.

I take offense at your use of "white". I prefer to be called Caucasian.

But yeah, I was thinking along the same lines when I saw the list of jobs - mere tradition. Lots of random jobs in there.

Vets are more a country job. I'll bet the 1% of vets that are Asian practice near a city and are not helping a horse give birth.

Most vets work in private clinics treating companion animals, for example dogs and cats. They diagnose illnesses and perform medical procedures.
A small number are equine veterinarians who treat horses, and food animal vets who work with farm animals

So much in fact 3 years ago I went and signed up for the pipefitters union.

Probably 800 people were there at the signup. There were 3 different days to sign up.

All told I heard there were well over 2,000 applicants.

Then you came back and took a test.
