Bacon think Green Bay is the best. Seattle looked awesome yesterday but Kaepernick is stinky doodie throws.

Yeah this week's Packers/Patriots game will probably tell us I suppose.

Denver is still in the conversation and I'd keep an eye on the Steelers. If they can get their D straightened out, they could be good come playoff time. Trust me when I say this, Big Ben's stellar year is not an accident. Can we examine the AFC North and NFC South for a second? There's never been a better argument to get rid of this notion that we HAVE to have 1 playoff team from every division and that the winner of their division gets a home playoff game (at the very least that should be changed). Doesn't everyone want to see the best teams play?

To think that Pittsburgh could not make it and as it stands right now Tampa Bay at 2-9 still has a shot (a really slim one) at hosting a playoff game is kinda ridiculous.

Muddy, do you think the Niners regret treating Alex Smith like a piece of shit at all?

Without getting into a debate about how shittily Alex Smith was treated, I don't think they should (regret). Kaepernick has taken them to a Super Bowl and a Conference final (I think that's right?). Whole lotta quarterbacks have never done that, including Alex Smith.

Now obviously it's team game so he doesn't get 100% credit for that but whatever, I think he's got a lot more upside than Alex Smith even if this appears to be a bit of a hiccup year. And even this year, there is still the potential to get hot at the right time and go on another run.

Me personally, I felt like they were making a mistake when they did what they did regarding the QB switcheroo, but I have changed my mind and give Harbaugh credit for some serious balls.
