Wally, my Comcast Internet issues have hindered my posting this week. I have lurked but have not been too involved. I think everybody needed a little cooling off period as well. I am a bit disappointed not to have a little more Mrs. X around lately, but Mr. X has been keeping things civil around here. Wal,the weekend should provide a little more excitement. Wally, this site lacks fluff. Sometimes less is more.

Awwwww. I'm here lurking around. I've got no excuses. Instead of posting today I started on a zef side backdrop for our humongous fish tank. It was a awesome steal from the Salvation Army, but costing an arm and a leg for various fish junk. Mr. X has become mildly obsessed with creating a somewhat self sustaining ecosystem.
We've only had one fatality in this incarnation of the fish tank. R.I.P little shrimp #1 of three. We barely knew thee.

I've also have been working on a table covered in bottle caps. I've had the table for over a year, and have been collecting the bottle caps for at least as long. Mr. X brought home a water cooler thing that would fit perfectly on the table. So, if I want the hulking water thing off of the counter, I have to finish the table.

I am notorious for starting several projects and then finishing none. I'm working on that. Although, now with the backdrop art, I'll have something to do all night when I can't sleep. Hammering nails into bottle caps at three in the morning really wouldn't work out for anyone here.

This is not my style of art at all. Meaning, I like it alot, it's just not what I would do on my own. A few elements, blatantly ripped off. The image is 18" x 50". Not quite done, but pretty much. If it fails as a zeff side fish tank back drop, I'll send it to you Kato.

messed around with refinishing old furniture and then mosaicing the tops...it was cool for a set, like yours better
