He would probably date her. They have gone out together a few times. I have gone out with alone once before. We have hung out in groups several times.

Here's some variables:

-She technically has a boyfriend in her tiny hometown upstate. I know its official because they are "In a relationship" on fb, yet she has said she doesn't care and is 'flexible while in city'. So basically she has someone to go home to over her winter break from school. And she is ready to mingle at all other times. I'm guessing.

-He tells me how he also likes other girl at work at also goes out with her while trying to keep it a secret from both girls. Brings me back to the point that, although I am aware of him liking both the girls and telling me private stuff about what goes on, Why does he get dibs on 2 out of the 5 decent looking chicks at work?


IMO its every man for himself. The girl makes the decision. The other guy should have to deal with it. The MAJOR rule should be never talk shit about the other guy in anyway to the girl, such as telling her about other girls he might be seeing etc. Which I have and never would do. I'm not sure what he has said about me.

I suppose if the situation got flipped on me I would be pissed, but I'd deal with it. At least take it out on the girl and don't blame guy..... no?

Why is that key? Is it guy code to not do anything with a girl a friend likes? Even if she throws her self at you?

We all work together and he also hangs out with another girl. Is he allowed to have dibs on every chick at work?

The proper way to handle this is allow him sufficient time to throw game at her and achieve whatever goal it is he has in mind (have a one nighter, g/f etc). Once it's clear that she is not interested in him than you can move in 2-3 weeks later.

Good point. He's been into her since working there, roughly 6 months, nothing has really changed. He told me they kissed once. They have gone out multiple times. But she went out with me last week and we've attempted to make further plans. I agree that there is a time factor involved in all of this.
 
Blitty, in all seriousness Dafty's answer best describes how I feel. Your friend probably doesn't have what you have in being a babe magnet so give him time to get over her if she rejects him. Hopefully your friend hooks up with her.

Wow Blitty, just reading this. So sorry to you buddy but 6 months changes everything. You should have mentioned it immediately! If he can't close the deal by now, then go for it IMO if she really likes you. I have communication breakdown issues on going off subject at times.

Teamer, I am not saying is he going to marry her..lol. I am just saying that here is another guy that moves VERY slowly that obviously likes her. Granted, she made the move on Blitty to hang out and whatnot. Has Blitty asked her what she thinks of him? I believe in kharma and if the slow guy has ANY shot with this girl, maybe Blitty could help him along in this progression. Now if Blitty really likes this girl, that is a different story. I have had friends who have liked the same girl I have liked. Sometimes being the wingman is not the worst thing to be. I think over the years that has helped when it came to girls I really liked.
