No Israel waited until the election was over and now they are attacking unilaterally trying to draw the US into it. Basically they attack Hamas, then Iran will be forced to attack Israel via Hesbollah and the US has to defend Israel.

Sounds logical but do you really think US could afford to get into another war given current position?

Correct me if im wrong pavvy but isnt Iran allies with Russia, who in turn are allies with China when it comes to almost all matters of US foreign policy?
