I hate to burst anyone's bubble(not really), but the Coriolis effect doesn't influence the direction that water swirls down the toilet.
Pavy, I saw a tv special on this and they proved that it was toilet manufacturer rather than the globe positioning that caused the water to go backwards. The myth was busted.
Awesome!! I thought I'd been ripped off in the cool toilets area. And to be honest, I'd never thought to look in my entire time here until I was asked to make a video of it. There is definitely a lot less water in the bowls here and Australia is the home of the dual flush: You push one button when you've only just tinkled in the bowl and the other when you've deposited a beauty. It saves water that way and considering the state I live in is suffering from a water shortage, it's a very good thing.
