If you don't know this week (easter) is called Semana Santa in Latin America and is like the biggest holiday of the year. Thus.Fri are official holidays and many (rich) people take the whole week off.
So I tried asking Mrs. Durito quite some time ago if she had the whole week off from school so perhaps we could plan a trip with Emily somewhere, but of course she is incapable of finding anything out so nothing ever happened till last week when she found out she was off.
She wants to go see her sister (of course with her mother and my daughter) but we had some paperwork to do in bogota and a meeting in cali we set up for yesterday so didn't get back till last night. Fine. I planned all that trip early last week, getting back yesterday so hopefully I could actually see my daughter for once.
But no, they want to go to Armenia to see the sister. So I said fine, they want to take a bus trip in colombia on thursday of the biggest travel week of the year coming back sunday the biggest travel day of the year great. Have fun all day in the bus. They of course have no idea what I am talking about, they must be new to Colombia.
On saturday we were in Bogota and it's raining a ton all over the country and mudslides are wiping out road and stuff so she wants to see if they can fly. And I lol, lol, lol. Like there will be reasonable or any tickets left at this point. Which is irrelevant in the first place, since I wouldn't buy suegra gloria a ticket if it was $20 unless it was one way to hell. So I tell them to get bus tickets in advance because they sell out.
So we get back at 1am last night
I drop off Mrs. Durito and come home. They get up at 5 for their 6am bus which they missed, she said it left early, I somehow doubt that. So get one that left at 9 I guess, she just called to ask how far Santa Barbara was from Armenia. About 4 hours normally, so they think they will be there in 4 hours I guess. And I laughed and laughed, being that Santa Barbara should be 90 minutes normally from here and it took them 5 hours to get there. Can't wait for sunday when it takes 15 hours to get back. Poor emily.
