I only buy the physical CD release when one of my 3 favorite bands puts out a record:

I did this awhile ago and sold my cd folio on ebay. I don't remember what I got, but it was worth it since I neurotically couldn't throw them out and I didn't want them around anymore. I checked, it looks like some of the folios are getting bids but mostly pages and pages of $0.00's. For you, probably not worth it.

I'm going on Saturday to a flea market nearby and sell them to a vendor.

I don't listen to them, my music cd's just sit on a shelf collecting dust nowadays.
Since I mostly listen to music on an ipod I have no use for the hard copy.

So I "ripped" each and every one of my cd's in "flac" lossless format and will store all my music on an external hard drive.

Do you listen to cd's? Do you have a collection?

I digitized mine about 8 years ago. If I need a CD for some reason, I'll just burn one. I'm not quite sure about selling CD's as I sold mine to a thrift music store back then. Not sure if they have those in your area (or if they're even around any more to be honest), but you could maybe try that if you do.

I have a bunch of CD's but rarely listen. I have a CD player in my car but I drive so little it can take me a week to get through a CD.

A buddy of mine makes all my CD's for me. Illegally I guess?? He is a music snob who will give me what I ask for but always throws in things he feels I should listen to. It's a good deal. He has introduced me to many things I really like. Occasionally he will throw in a clunker.

At the moment I must have 20 CD's I have never listened to. I normally don't listen to music while working but if I am doing extreme spreadsheet work I will listen to a lot of CD's in here and get caught up. I haven't done that for awhile but I will probably be starting a major spreadsheet project any minute now so that will enhance my music appreciation.

I disposed of all my vinyl in various ways a couple years back but no way would I sell my CD's. I don't get that.
