It's tough for me to say man because prior to starting doing this I had only been in a casino a couple times like 20 years ago and didn't really take note of how big they were. Seems like plenty of stuff to me and if you count cards the high stakes blackjack Harrah's is a good game because only 6 decks and hand shuffling. They are not indian reservations. Are there different dynamics of playing poker in indian reservations, renoballs?
Well it's not magic every night, boys. came out $384 in the red, and didn't really make any bad plays in my opinion. There is one that I know is +ev over the long term but that given my situation might have been the wrong play which is a thinker. I was down at 1/2 because the 1/3 game again broke up and there were no seats at 2/5. I limp with AK one player with about $120 or so raises to $35 and another with about $120 or so calls. I'm sitting with about $400. I don't have a read on the original raiser so I decide I'm probably at at least a flip with both of them, giving me 3 to one odds on a shove. I also decided there was probably fold equity for both of them, which contributes to it being a favorable play. I shove and bink the Ace on the river but there was a 9 on board and one of the players had pocket 9's for the winning hand, so my read was exactly correct, it's just a matter of if I should make that play given my situation, trying to beef up the roll enough to play the 5/10 game on a consistent basis.
That dealer was in again. I went out to pick up my prize money from the one place, got a haircut I'm very pleased with and a beautiful blt from the place next door. The stylist was awesome and she enjoyed my poker stories so that's a cool 1 2 punch I'll be doing every couple weeks there. I like to find something that works and stick with it. My appearance as a result was completely different than the day before when I looked borderline with a homeless person because I needed a haircut and a shave pretty badly, and I was so fucking tired from that marathon session at the other place. The dealer doesn't really specifically acknowledge me at first and I'm like wow maybe I was drunk and just got the wrong idea. Then she does two things. She tells me I'm not clocked in on the table and that "oh, I'll go ahead and clock you in, Stephen". So she remembered my name after one short session together. Then about 10 minutes later she gives me this up and down look and a little side smirk with a direct look in the eyes that was genius and could have meant many different things like yeah, I approve or yeah, I've got you wrapped around my finger that quickly? Or, I don't know but it was so direct and so fucking quick so that no one else could possibly catch it, I gave here a very quick side smirk wight back. She has extremely quick eyes and I do as well, it was like half a second max, so fucking slick. She's an absolute killer and there could be a couple of reasons she is doing this which I won't go into right now but we'll see where it ends up. It helps cushion the burn of a bad session, I will tell you that. The way I see it is it it further encourages my goal of playing the 5/10 consistently because that would probably really impress her. If she gives me a little mind fuck when I come back after disappearing for a few days to play promos elsewhere I'm going to really have something to think about, I think I'd just have to play there, but we'll see how things go.
So a rough session in which my Jacks with a low board get busted up (once by what I view as a set based on my opponent's instashove in response to my $65 feeler bet) then my Kings get busted up by Ace fucking 5, then my bullets get no callers and I didn't flop one set. What's encouraging is if a bad session is losing less than one buy in that's cool. Mostly sharks at the 1/3 there again there so that's two long sessions in a row that that's been true, and this is something to think about - but they're the only ones running the high hand promos on the days I've been there. I heard very good things about Harrah's in AC that I'll see if they are true or not - free food and a room if you play over 5 hours. That sounds quite awesome but also too good to be true so we'll see what's up there. Delaware Park also has a nice room promotion so might head out there for a week or whatever.
Tomorrow (well actually today now) I'll likely hit up there and possibly another place earlier (likely my original joint), I'm not happy with today's result and want to try to have a very good day tomorrow.
Will do the gym signup tomorrow as well.
BOL everyone today, Peace.
