Nah Mike I'm pretty sure they do that to every account from certain countries. I tried betting random football crap one time and still got tossed.

I was teasing, as you know.

I will tell you one thing that I have learned that is relevant, true story:

It was only when I joined SBR I realized what a square I was and realized that everyone I knew that gambled was a square (hundreds of people). I used to jump into threads about being limited at Bet365 and Stan James and say it was bullshit and my experience was the complete opposite. Fast forward six months and I start managing a proper bankroll, betting a level % of bankroll and betting single games instead of parlays and guess what? I was limited. I wasn't tossed, just had weird limits flash up when I went to place the bet and would be offered 5GBP instead of 100 etc. But my problem is I like Stan James and Victor Chandler and Bet365 for the simple reason I've been betting online with them since about 1999 and had zero issues with them, not one. It's never taken me more than two days to be paid direct into my bank and the record is something like 12 hours. You will very rarely see a thread on SBR regarding Euro books from someone that lives in the UK. The only ones you see are from people in Eastern Europe that think they can beat them and then moan that their limits ahve been cut.

Fast forward to now and I use them for parlays, nothing else, and I do ok, but I've even been limited on that now to a certain extent and the reason for that (and the point of the post) is because they are only interested in squares, of which they have hundreds of thousands. They are not a bookmaker, they are accountants, simply interested in losing gamblers, and that for me is the big difference between America and Europe, but I like the guarantee of being paid at a book I will get limited at, as opposed to not being limited at somewhere like BetIslands. As a sharp gambler in Europe, Betfair is all you have but luckily for the books there aren't that many sharps around.

Sharp post Mike. I know hundreds of squares from back home. They would bet their team regardless of odds. Euro books will never go bankrupt.

Horse degenerates as well Paves, a horse degen is much more valuable than a sports degen, simply because it's an all day, 7 day per week thing. 4 meetings per-day, 6 races per meet = 24. Add to that 4 dog meets at 12 races per meet and then the virtual racing every 3 mins and it's a recipe for ruin if you have gambling issues.

I have cousins who lost fortunes in horse betting. They would always call me and say they have inside information a certain horse is going to be doped this week and bet it good and the effing horse would not get out of the gate!
