This is the best Christmas present a scam sportsbook owner has ever received. These stories are from Robbie (Zach) M\*\*\*\*\*\* and his ************ which promoted his Apex Sportsbook. Apex Sportsbook closed with player funds and SBR quoted him as saying he had some of the player funds but wouldn't pay because he wouldn't be able to start another venture. We followed him with that for about 5 years until he paid some of the guys who were still contactable... This was the same site that wrote Heritage was an SBR scam with his America s Bookie banner inside and where the "bailout" email spam came from this week. He's been angry for a lot of years and loving watching guys react to his "coverage". We aren't going to be baited each time someone posts a quote from a bad neighborhood site like this.
This is the first time we've seen this list but BI Jon stated personally that it's faked and there was never a category called "SBRmod". We see what you see above. Regardless what of it is their real log, every site tracks campaign referrals in groups of users. It's how a Matchbook and even a Fanduel decides internally to renew. It's how all traffic is tracked including traffic from
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/odds and even Amazon's internal software. It's what changes after you select the "where did you hear about us" dropdown on most sites that have a signup.
It's been years since a site SBR and posters considered decent has failed and two in over a decade. Many more well regarded books have been pulled down, some temporarily for missteps with players or slow-paying. Books like BetOnSports and recently America s Bookie have offered to pay to be here. The posting board is about 25% of the SBR network and BI was about 1/20th of the sponsor here. It doesn't make business sense to risk reputation and not how a site is successful long term.
There is always going to be a conflict of interest when sites have "featured products". We know that which is why there are about 50 tools here to research what aspects are important to you. BI wasn't the #1 book, it wasn't even top 10 or top 40. But, it was a lot of poster's #1. It was a B book that started out doing things right but it was new. It will be the last B book.
We know now once the owner was out, in this case but not always, it was over. There was nothing players could have gained a week earlier had we taken them off the forum and of course nothing was gained by SBRforum. To my knowledge one could not signup. Unfortunately, a good in-tact brand wasn't enough for those in control to continue.
