I don't think that was a secret Archie... he left thinking SBR would give him a raise and beg for him to come back. When they didn't he said that EOG would pay him 3k a month to post. When he realised that wasn't going to happen (I'm sure I was only one of 60 ppl who told him how silly that was since he couldn't even Mod), he came back to try to negotiate salaries and asked me to be the go between. SBR said no.

Both places have different standards for US citizens attempting to set up shop other places.

I had to provide MB a notarized copy of my permanent resident visa (temporary not allowed) and a utility bill. Pre credit bust pin would take any random document, they've since requested only a utility bill.

yeah prob not a secret.

I never knew though, never dug too much into it.

why did he need a "go between?"

you said SBR said "no".... but who were you really go between in that exchange on the opposite side of JJ? was it Mr. D, or John, or Lou or a bunch of people? who actually said "no" from SBR?

can you get Wally and Plommer unbanned and get them some of that unspent paid poster money?

I heard JJ hired this guy to help him get his job back:

If you are setting up a brand new account they can't tell you are a US citizen if you provide a Canadian drivers license as your proof of identity.

Citizenship is not an issue, only residency.

Don't use a passport as a form of ID if you are American.

So even you if you get all that which everyone I know has had difficulties, MoneyBookers/Pinnacle require a utility bill ( non cell phone).

Rito, the reason I'm wary of you is because I tend to recall losing every single argument I had with you, which was compounded by the fact I knew you knew I was a total square and had nothing to offer a 'sharp' conversation, I still carry the scars, however:

I do seem to recall having the same conversation you're now having with Plom regarding the UK, and I do seem to recall giving the exact same answers. So humor me. Just say: 'Mike, you're probably wrong, in fact you're almost always wrong, but just this one time you might be right about this one.'

Thanks Pal.

Rito has experience from South America and has friends who may have had difficulty getting setup in Canada but I would bet money that I could get an American setup in Canada using the methods I described.

I'm talking about a fresh account, if Pinny/Moneybookers already has your info on file then I wouldn't be as confident.

Actually I'm not even sure who I was go betweening because he was too frightened to even send the emails. But he's always been like that. When he wanted a raise, he asked me to feel it out. And I'd always tell him how he'd need to present his case, blah blah blah and he was like no, can't do that. And then I'd say well why would anyone give you a raise if you can't even prove your worth? His job was basically obselete at that point anyway... a guy paid to "consult" wasn't needed. But this specific time I sent what he said to the forum email and apparently he got the response back. Because then he told me that it wasn't happening, to which i said "why did you fucking think it ever would? especially after you the stunts you pulled?" So then he got cranky at me and I've maybe talked to him twice since.

He isn't the most socially inept guy. I understand why he needed help with that. But trying to be forceful in that kind of situation I think isn't so good.
