Can you voluntarily put up a child for adoption at a time later in life than birth in the U.S? I think I saw something like that in an Asian country where you could just "drop off" a kid if you were not prepared/able/wanting to care for it. If there is not, there should be something like that...and no stigma attached to it. It definitely beats the alternative.

Yeah. I suppose. I am sure there are people out there who get in over their head....I don't know what the answer is. I'm going to research that. I have never heard of a child being adopted later in life unless social services was somehow involved or if the parent died or something, but maybe there is an option.
