Mrs X why do they no longer use a banked track?

There are still banked track leagues. Less rules and more injuries. I think people in derby wanted to get away from the old school theater, fake wresting type derby. Also, if you want to play banked track, you have to have a banked track. Flat track derby, all you need is some space, an appropriate surface and some orange tape.

Yeah, I'm thinking that the economic factor of needing a dedicated banked derby track plays the major role.

Yeah after I posted my question, I kind of guessed it might be easier to find and use venues if you don't have the banked track.
