I will drive 5 hours to see then and the box of Kleenex will only go 50 miles.... WTF is wrong here...... I am pissed at the MGM grand in detroit for not answering my e mail and giving me a preferred rate there.... fokkers.....

Dood... I just saw that Die Antwoord is coming back to Montreal on Oct. 25, at the fokken Metropolis, which is a pretty big fokken place, over 2k capacity. They're blowing up something huge in a matter of months.

FOK YO FACE MONKEYFOKKO. :muddy:

2k?!?! Wow! Let me know when they sell out the Rogers Centre in 10 minutes like Coldplay. TIA.

Mrs.X, im sure they have cheap hotels in detroit. You would rather sleep on some random creeps couch?? :yikes:

Yes.

We've been on couchsurfing since 2005 when there were only 10,000 people. Now there are over 2,000,000. I helped create much of the infrastructure and although haven't been active lately because of roommates, in October when everybody leaves, I'll be hosting like crazy. It's an amazing website and I've met many people that even thought I don't talk to much, I keep up with and consider friends. I've never had a bad experience hosting or being hosted. Once in awhile, I run into someone that I wouldn't hang out with much more than a day, but that's extremely rare. Have I every been close to being axe murdered or feel in danger or uncomfortable....no.

Yeah, paying $150 for a hotel sounds so much more attractive than staying with a local that will probably make me dinner and drinks tell me good stories, give me info on where the awesome places to go and in many cases, drive me there. We've slept at a sugar cane plantation house in the middle of a bamboo forest in Hawaii. Was turned on to a mostly unknown to tourist local back country camping that got us our own private blue lagoon situation for a week. Camped in an Airstream in the middle of the woods in Tennessee and saw some great shows at the Bluebird. We've hosted many a European college kid that had a rock star time in Vegas that still keep in touch telling us that their trip was made so much more awesome because of our help. Those are just a very few examples of many.

So yeah, Mr. X told me, he already replied, It's all about the creeps, not the money.
