I didn't hear - I missed the first part of it on the news. Just heard the dollar amount and the fact that Essendon came back to win by 4.
I'm guessing it's probably the same guy who put $1 million to win $60k I think on Essendon earlier in the season and won. That was at Centrebet.
Yeah MF, the big books here do. You usually only hear of it during footy season or when there's a big event going on like a tennis Grand Slam or one of the major horse racing carnivals. Some guy put $1 million on Nadal during the Aussie Open in one of the early round matches and then donated the winnings to flood victims here. Another wackjob put $1 million on his wife to win Aussie Dancing with the Stars and of course she lost. I'm thinking with bettors like that out there books are quite happy to take these bets. You never hear of them putting that much on remotely decent odds.
