While his brothers body lay inside a casket nearby, Doug Ford walked the long line of mourners outside City Hall Monday, shaking hands, smiling and posing for selfies with Ford Nation supporters.

That's just a tad sensationalist tho. The headline where I saw that was FUNERAL SELFIE.

It's not a funeral - his brother has been dead for a week.

You know, maybe some internet "journalists" should just CALM DOWN.

I guess it's not out of the question - but he is lacking something that Rob had. [insert crack joke here] No but seriously man, he is missing a certain je ne sais quoi.

And actually the current mayor, John Tory, seems real good. That's my impression anyway. Not just that he is more stable than Rob Ford - Lowest. Bar. Ever - but he is quite charming and funny and intelligent. He handled the PanAm games - and then the deciding not to try for the Olympics - deftly I thought.

I'd be curious if the locals have the same impression as me that Doug is the lesser Ford. Now who knows, maybe Ford supporters will all jump behind him anyway - just to teach the world a lesson - their unwavering support of Rob was a lot more about defiance than reason.

Guess we'll see.
