I took my bike to 60mph (100km/h) in sixth gear today, first time I was able to go up to sixth. Throttle response is much smoother and the windblast is intense.

Can't wait to go on the highway. Common.

Maybe check out aftermarket windshields? Wind blast is annoying. I can have a casual conversation with my passenger at 80 mph, but that's with a nice aftermarket windshield.

Almost impossible to find for my old bike. I found one guy in the UK making OEM replacements - ordered one since mine has become so yellow and brittle after 28 years of being attacked by UV rays.

I guess I could add one that clamps on the fairing or handlebars. Probably a viable option for long road trips. We'll see.

I love my bike so much. She needs a name.

1985 Yamaha FJ600 - the first Japanese, inline-4, 600cc. Looks a bit silly next to modern sportbikes (it has two 18" wheels with tall 90-profile tires) but it goes like hell and sounds so mean.

Yah, he got a slightly more recent Yamaha 600cc, 1992 FZR600. It also looks a bit silly, but it's hard to argue against a 91hp sportbike for $1800. It's in really good condition too.
