Potato, my young apprentice!

Do not be fooled by sob stories from strangers requesting cash assistance!

If you want to help (and call her bluff) offer to put a few dollars of fuel in her vehicle.
Surely a rich American spud like you can afford to donate a few dollars for gas to a fellow citizen, no?

If she is truly in need she will accept the fuel offer and move on. If she really just wants some free cash to smoke a $5 piece then politely tell her no.

I've been approached more than a few times over the years by strangers requesting cash due to an emergency, plommer has the skills necessary to arrive at the correct conclusion in regard to their story and offer a suitable solution.

I have a big heart and will not refuse assisting someone in need but will not be a victim of scammers looking for me to subsidize their crack addictions.

"I was glad I didn't have to punch you in the face." Said by a WTA representative at a Sports Law Conference after I explained that 3% of first-round ATP matches are probably fixed, but that the fix-rate in WTA is not statistically significant.
