Random thoughts

Apparently she has gone through cancer treatments. She had it once and she "beat it" and now it has returned and is looking so dire that she and her husband are soliciting donations from fans to fund a two month experimental treatment in Europe.

She is now bedridden and down under 100 pounds. That pic I posted of her was taken at some point after the relapse was diagnosed.

Meanwhile, I did the same thing on the weekend, posted an unflattering pic of Michael Douglas while undergoing cancer treatment.

Not sure how things have gotten to this point - and it has not been intentional - nevertheless it seems to be my new role in life: making fun of the appearance of cancer people.

Here's something weird. I wonder if anyone here has experienced or heard of something like this.

So yesterday afternoon I was sitting here at my desk in a completely normal way for a few hours. After about an hour, I started feeling something twingy in my left foot. I didn't know what it was. As more time passed, it developed into a distinct pain. It was weird and puzzling because, as I say, I was just sitting. I had absolutely no memory of twisting or dinging anything even slightly at any point.

It got worse. There was more pain and swelling. Through yesterday evening I was hobbling around this place like a genuine cripple. I was propping myself up against anything within reach and hopping on one foot at times. If there were crutches here, I would have been using them.

And finally I went to bed - and when I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, the situation was still the same and I hopped to the can, but by morning, everything had settled down. As of now, though I can still feel the twinge and the foot is still slightly swollen, I am operating almost normally. I expect to go for a bike ride shortly and life goes on.

Frickin weird though.

Decrepitude I guess :dunno:

Muddy, maybe try this site! My guess is go to question #9 but don't think it's that so maybe Q#10 and my guess is Plantar Fasciitis! :dunno:

People are nice with their suggestions about my foot situation. I should have known people would try to offer suggestions and solutions but I honestly wasn't looking for that. I just felt like rambling about an odd, quirky situation for a minute.

Unless it ever happens again, it is just a random memory.

It takes a lot more than that before I start doing stuff about stuff.

I would most likely eat anything called "rip and dip."

oh common that frozen home pizza

She doesn't look half bad if you know where to look.

She had a look. There is no two ways about that.

I saw her recently in The Great Gatsby and she was almost comically busted-up looking - which I'm sure was intentional to suit the ridiculous character. Even though she was in her prime, you could do that with her.

But she also had a sweet quality that could be brought out. I had a thing for her. Not to the point where, if I was picking a cause to donate money to today, I would select European experimental cancer treatments for Karen Black.

But something.
