Random thoughts

worked with a guy that was impaled after falling from a roof.
I didnt witness it but heard from many that were there... so cant say its 100% true but seeing the scar and hearing from others I lean towards the true side
he landed on a 2x4 stake sticking from the ground, stuck him just under sternum.
he lived and had the nasty scar to prove it

While I was trying not to die today, there were two men (shirtless and glistening in the sun) going in the opposite direction. One was on rollerblades and the other was on a skateboard. As I got closer, I realized that the guy on the rollerblades was pulling the guy on the skateboard. I think that, unless you are 8 and under, that's not ok. Not to mention that, as I walked by, one of them said, "Hey, wanna play tug-of-war"(with the cord that he was being pulled with). The other said, "I thought that we already were." Ah, homoeroticness on a Saturday morning. Awesome.

As we speak, the odometer on my car is sitting at 55555.

Is this a great country or what?

No but seriously, do you ever just wail like a wounded animal? Like, not just a scream that people would hear and understand, but a prolonged bawling and howling and moaning that goes on and on and is genuinely disturbing to witness?

Did you ever do that? In a restaurant?

The answers to your questions for myself, Muddy, are no and no but it's funny you brought up the choking out because we were in the store yesterday and some INXS came on and I explained to cami how Michael Hutchinson passed. The rstaurant thing would probably get you arrested or at least kicked out IMO

I have a money-making idea.

For about the 4th time in the last couple months I have heard an American making the case that the way to reduce gun death/injury is MORE guns not less. Like when that dude shot up the movie theater, things wouldn't have been so bad if a lot more average Americans there had been armed. The idea being that they all would have pulled their guns and eliminated the threat before all the damage could be done.

When I hear that kind of talk it makes me wonder what it is like in their heads and I can only deduce they view average Americans as some kind of comic book superheros. They are coordinated, focused. Nothing is misinterpreted. No one has bad judgement or is a bad shot. They are in telepathic contact with each other and they know who are the proper Americans and who most certainly are NOT.

Which brings me to my money-making idea. Someone should create and market AVERAGE AMERICANS comic books. Each edition is a new tale of average Americans coming together in amazing and heroic ways. The stories could basically be ripped from the day's headlines - except with happy perfect endings - because of the exploits of Average Americans. I can picture it.

People would buy that.

I'm kind of joking but I'm kind of not.
