I don't see it as a particularly good observation. It seems like the observation of a media critic who only watches TV and sits at a computer and never actually interacts with human beings.
(As media observation, it is even a bit dated IMO. When critics were making that point 5 years ago, I agreed that the media had gone overboard with the guy-who-is-lucky-to-have-any-woman concept. But things in the media have been shifting the last few years.)
But whatever - it was never a reflection of the real world. Everyone is flawed and everyone has varying degrees of acceptance.
There are many many wonderful women out there.
