Well push came to shove and I put my cards on the table with MM girl. I was ordering a salad and I could tell she was very busy so I tried to throw in love as one of the ingredients I would like in my salad. She gave me a quick "we dont' offer that here". I have no regrets whatsoever. Should be a good salad.
 
I don't like how goofy people get talking about people who just died. All perspective is lost. There were two prominent local deaths in the last little while, politician Jack Layton and hockey player Wade Belak - and to hear/read the tributes, you'd think they were Mother Theresa and Mother Theresa Junior.

We're talking about a politician and a hockey goon. It is fucking ridiculous how goofy people get.

Jeremy Roenick was on the radio and was asked for his comments on Belak. The first thing he says is he has never met him - then he goes on for five minutes, practically on the verge of tears, about what a great guy he was. Funny, generous, altruistic - he would have been can't-miss to have a great post-playing career in the media.

He had never met him.

Why can't people just say it's a shame that a 35 year-old commits suicide and leave it at that. What is wrong with honesty?
